Hastings Crossing BIA (HxBIA) would like to welcome our new executive director, Mr. Brennan Fitzgerald, to the BIA. Brennan comes to the BIA from Nova Scotia, by way of Morinville, Alberta, and brings a strong background in social enterprise, non-profits, and municipal governance to the role of executive director. “We’re excited to have Brennan joining the BIA,” says HxBIA Board Chair Devon Boorman, “Hastings Crossing BIA works to help shape a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable local community for all. We’re confident Brennan will provide the strategic leadership necessary to continue our people-first approach.”
The BIA would like to extend our sincere thanks to our former executive director, Mr. Landon Hoyt, for passionately leading this organization for the past two years. Landon has been a fierce advocate for our members and our community, and has been instrumental in bringing the BIA to the community level.
As Brennan settles into his new role, he looks forward to meeting our local businesses, non-profits, property owners, social enterprises, and community members. “I’m thrilled to be joining HxBIA, Canada’s social innovation BIA.” says Brennan. “So much incredible work has been done to build on the strengths of this vibrant, diverse community here in the DTES. I’m looking forward to continuing that work in collaboration with all of our businesses, social enterprises, non-profits, partners, and community members.”
