Indian Summer Festival | July 6-15 | Various Venues
The Indian Summer Festival is really not a festival at all. We say this because the word ‘festival’ conjures up something temporary, perhaps even fleeting. To all of us at Indian Summer, the festival really is a model for the kind of society we’d like to see. A society that is creative, diverse, inclusive and innovative. As the world builds more and more walls and as societies get suspicious and afraid of people who don’t look like them and think like them, we believe in the transformative power of the arts and the festival is our way of reaffirming these beliefs. The festival features, art, performance, food, storytelling, dance, and culture like you’ve never seen before.
Bike to Shop Days | July 21-23 | Various Business & Victory Square
We are proud to sponsor the second annual Bike to Shop Days in partnership with HUB! Visit a variety of businesses around the city, including several in Hastings Crossing. Receive discounts and prizes, and don’t miss the celebration station happening Friday, July 21 in Victory Square!

Celebrating the best in independent queer cinema, the Vancouver Queer Film Festival is Vancouver’s second largest film festival and the largest queer arts event in Western Canada. The Festival hosts a variety of performances, workshops, panels, parties and more, facilitating a unique community space for 11 days each August.
