A new way for businesses to support community (a catered networking event) Wednesday March 19th 2014

Old models of giving to charity or supporting non-profits are giving way to new revenue streams and purchasing philosophies. Come meet local business owners, non-profit leaders, and an innovative new company that’s unearthing a goldmine of funding for youth focused non-profits and charities, Swipe 4 the Kids.

As consumers of goods and services we send billions in processing and transaction fees to banks and major corporations every year, through credit cards, debit cards and other point of sale system transactions. What if a portion of those transaction fees could be directed towards supporting community programming and funding for spaces where important community work is happening? Particularly community work helping youth and young adults?

Swipe 4 the Kids and Hastings Crossing BIA invite you to join us for a complimentary catered networking event bringing together businesses and non-profits, we’ll hear a short presentation from Swipe 4 the Kids about the success of this model in the U.S. and the work they are doing to bring this social impact to Vancouver.

Wednesday March 19th at 6:00 PM at Lost and Found Cafe, 33 West Hastings

If you’re a business owner, non-profit or charitable sector professional, informed consumer, or just a curious soul, we encourage you to join us for an informative presentation, engaging discussion, and delicious food and drinks.
